Yin & Hatha Yoga | Sound & Forest Bath | Body-Mind-Soul Approach for Women

A gentle holistic approach that combines Yoga (asanas, pranayama, meditation), Relaxation, and counseling in order to understand and deepen the awareness of the body, mind, and soul as a unity.

Based on a therapeutic setting where each individual is comprehended in their authentic way of being: the way you are without judgment, with empathy, a relationship based on trust and confidence. The safe space allows diving deeper into the subconscious (even unconscious) mind where conditioned beliefs, behavioral patterns, thoughts, and emotions are stored. During this process, there is a potential release of internal activities that can be seen from a much larger and more distant perspective. This allows a deeper understanding of the past, present, and the possibility of change in the future.

The body, mind, and soul approach intends to slow down and be more present in everyday life.

By understanding our internal activities (emotions, thoughts, feelings,...), we become more conscious, aware, and compassionate with ourselves as well as with other beings.

YIN YOGA

A gentle, introspective and progressive practice that cultivates inner calm. Yin Yoga is a practice that promotes slowing down, where poses are held in a relaxed manner for a longer period of time, up to 5 minutes or more. ~WithYinYoga

A practice that allows you to slow down the pace and brings attention to the inner world: feelings and inner psycho-corporeal movements (breathing, heartbeat, thoughts, emotions, etc.). It is within one's time, space and stillness that the feeling of release emerges. In our daily lives, this natural rhythm is often distorted by external stimulations, leaving us feeling uncentered. This specific approach of Yin helps to raise awareness of the language of the body, the mind and the soul.

"The quieter you become, the more you can hear." ~ Ram Dass

SOUND RELAXATION

Relaxation is a psycho-corporeal method that uses verbal inductions to achieve a state of deep relaxation. There are several relaxation techniques: sophrology, Shchultz autogenic training, restorative yoga, etc. It finds its roots in hypnosis and acts on the autonomic neuro-vegetative system (the level of alertness, heart and respiratory rate, blood pressure), hence emotional regulation.

Sound Relaxation uses specific sounds to envelop and contain the individual in the sensory experience. Different instruments can be used such as singing crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, koshis, kalimba, tubalophone, gong, etc. The sound immerses the individual in the vibrational frequencies having an impact on the emotional, mental and physiological body as well as on deeper layers.

"Meditation is the journey from sound to silence, from movement to stillness, from a limited identity to unlimited space." ~ Srí Ravi Shankar

Why Yin & Relaxation?

As humans, most of us live in a world full of distractions and fast-paced reality. There are external influences that we are not aware of and that have an impact on our internal world and the functioning of the psyche-body daily. The mind likes grasping at what it sees, hears, smells, and touches, and is quickly out of balance. We are often trapped, out of focus, emotionally drowned, and precipitated of  "doing". Why is it so important to relax?

The approach of Yin Yoga and Relaxation is in the state of stillness. The observation of the breath, the body posture, the fluctuation of thoughts, feelings, emotions - the internal psycho-corporeal movements. How can we cultivate an inner state of calm, non-reaction, and immobility? What does my "alertness" try to tell me? This method encourages the singular spirit of exploration and aims to focus on each individual in its authenticity.

The combination of Yin Yoga and Sound Relaxation works on different levels: psychological/causal, energetical/astral, and physical/mechanical. As we dive deep inward, it prepares the individual for meditation practice and expands consciousness. The return of the individual in the womb, the mother nature, the heart space, the source.

It may help with anxiety and sleep, attention and concentration, emotional regulation and stress relief, improve flexibility and muscle relaxation, strengthen interoception, and leave you with a feeling of embodiment. For more information of many other benefits, find here.
